This is the guideline or statement pertaining filling
Rosters for East Kingston Recreational Soccer per the
Recreation meeting on Oct 14, 2003.
Terms
Signed-Up Player - Player is a player that has
submitted their form indicating they are interested.
Registered Player - A Player that has
submitted the appropriate registration form and deposit
or payment prior to the dead line.
Waiting List Player - A Player that did not
submit the appropriate paperwork in before the deadline.
Teams will be formed in the following way:
1) The number of players that Signed -up will be
used to identify how many teams EK will field and what
divisions will be offered.
2) The Team Rosters will be created from the list
of Registered Players.
a. Divisions will be formed on an age appropriate
basis first.
b. If there is an insufficient number of players
to fill a team (roster size needs to be determined)
the following options will be considered.
i. Players on the waiting list will be considered
first
ii. Players/Parents from the next level down will
be notified of the available openings.
iii. PlayerS/Parents interested in try-ing out
for the available positions will notify the Program
Commissioner
iv. If there are too many players vying for the
open positions the following options will be considered:
1. Open positions
will be offered to East Kingston Residents before non-
residents
a. The registration time/date will be used to
determine who is selected. First come first served.
b. The open positions will be filled on an age
basis. Those players closest in age to the next
division will be offered the opening.
c. A formal evaluation of Player skills will be
performed by an unbiased party. (Program Commissioner)
d. An open lottery where the players names are drawn
will be held.
2. Open positions
will be offered to member towns or organizations to a
co-sponsored program (such as RSL)
3. Open positions
will be offered to non-member towns or organizations.
